Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grants Still Available for FY2013
If you’re a fire department, state fire academy or a non-affiliated EMS organization, you may be eligible to apply for a portion of the $320 million that has been appropriated for Fiscal Year 2013 for the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) program.
According to information published on FireGrantsHelp.com, the AFG program prioritizes funding for a variety of fire and EMS needs including training, gear, modifications to facilities and equipment.
The application period and due date for FY2013 is estimated for October of this year.
